Priority Projects

While the  Trail, Pedestrian, and Bicycle Master Plan recommends a series of projects that support a complete and connected low-stress network, limited resources require an action plan that identifies which projects may have the greatest impact. Projects are evaluated based on both community need and project feasibility:

Community Need 
  • Projects address safety concerns, improve high stress network links, connect people to destinations, and expand the reach of transit
  • Projects reflect community feedback 
Project feasibility 
  • Projects may require additional time and/or resources to complete, limiting feasibility of rapid implementation

Project Categories for Prioritization

Community needs and project feasibility are considered together to determine the overall priority of a project. The results of this evaluation group projects into four main categories:
